The main duties will include:
To work as part of a team on both UK and international projects from concept through to completion
Producing accurate schedules, for curtain and furniture manufacturers for example
Sourcing and specifying products and materials whilst being mindful of a set budget
Producing comprehensive and professional looking mood boards/ powerpoint presentations for clients
Responsibility for multiple projects from concept development through to installation and styling
Preparing detailed and accurate drawings, designs, plans and schemes
Working in a team with other designers and architects
Keeping up to date with new developments and design trends in the design industry
Sourcing, scheduling, and specifying furniture, fittings & materials of the highest quality
Managing projects independently
Liaise with clients and manage on site installation
Liaise with suppliers and negotiate terms and costings
Taking full responsibility of all aspects of the entirety of the project
The ideal candidate would be/have:
2+ years’ experience as an interior architect/ designer in the high-end luxury market, an FF&E background is a must
Strong understanding of the full design process
Degree in Interior Design/Interior Architecture is essential
Independent attitude, can hit the ground running
Experience, energy & enthusiasm in project monitoring from concept to completion
Sourcing and procurement of FF&E, dealing directly with suppliers
High level scheme making
A great eye for design and colour, with good 3D and spatial awareness
Strong knowledge of FF&E suppliers
Commercially minded, good problem-solving skills
Positive outlook and a great work ethic
Technical drawing skills are essential
Capable of working in a pressured environment with the ability to work to deadlines
Computer literate: Proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop
Proficient in AutoCAD and Sketch Up
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and presentable. The job will involve dealing with clients and suppliers, either on a personal basis or over the telephone. The ability to visualise concepts and communicate them to others is very important.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, on multiple projects
A full, clean driving licence for site visits is a must
